fotah™
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
fotah™ is a camera app that runs entirely on your iPhone.
What it uses and why
- Camera: for the preview, photos and videos.
- Microphone: only for the audio of videos and Live Photos, and only while you record or have Live Photos on.
- Photo Library (add only): to save the photos and videos you take. fotah does not read your other photos.
- Photos and videos you choose: with Import you open one or more photos (up to 10) or a video through Apple's picker; fotah only receives those, processes them on the phone and never sends them.
- Event code: the code you type is checked on the phone and stays there; fotah doesn't send it.
- Motion sensors: to know how you're holding the phone, so photos come out straight, and for the grid's level.
- Faces: some looks reshape faces. fotah finds the face on the device while you shoot; its position is never saved or sent.
- Lock Screen: photos taken while the phone is locked stay in a protected iOS space until you open fotah, which saves them to Photos and then deletes them.
- Purchases (fotah Pro): handled by Apple through the App Store; fotah only receives confirmation of the purchase, with no name, email or payment details.
What it doesn't do
- It does not collect, send or sell personal data.
- It uses no accounts, ads, third-party tracking or analytics, in any version.
- Your photos, videos and settings stay on your device.
Test versions (TestFlight)
Test versions distributed through TestFlight collect no data either: no usage statistics, just like the published app. Crash reports and feedback you send from TestFlight are collected by Apple, according to your device settings.
fotah collects no data, neither in the app published on the App Store nor in test versions.
